The Compasses at Littley Green

This small village just on the outskirts of Chelmsford was the venue for the September Sunday Lunch. A place not many people knew existed and a first for Area 33.

Once again we awoke to a fine sunny day and for me a good day to get the MkIX out for a nice drive through the countryside along the narrow roads.

Lunch was booked for 1pm and we arrived early, but already the car park was full so we proceeded to park in the overflow area.

Luckily we were first in this area so the Jags started to line up.

We stood chatting for a while outside, but as the temperature rose we moved inside the restaurant where we were guided to our reserved table.

It was very busy and we all placed our individual orders for food and drink.

This was a lovely venue with a great atmosphere and surroundings. The food and service was excellent although the bar staff could have been a little more cheerful. So far all positive comments from who attended so one we will keep in the books for future dates.
