Sunday Lunch 22nd October

This month we booked The Dukes Head, Little Burstead, Billericay for our Sunday Lunch. This was the first I’ve been there and I also believe the first time for Area 33.

Due to the popularity we had to booked for a 12:15 sit down meal. The majority of us arrived in plenty of time and were able to have a chat outside prior to the restaurant opening. It was a lovely dry and sunny day and good to see all our cars gleaming in the sun. I even got the MkIX out for a drive as it won’t get used much more throughout the winter period.

As the doors opened and we entered we were met by Megan who introduced herself and guided us to our table at the rear where we all sat down and got our drinks. Shortly after our waitress, Shannon, came to see us and confirmed our food orders.

It wasn’t too long before our food started to arrive. The food portions were generous and nice and hot.

Many a good word was said regarding the food, although one of the dessert choices had been withdrawn and replaced by ice cream.

A lovely restaurant with excellent parking facilities with easy access and the food being great quality at a reasonable price. One for the calendar for the future.
