Club Night Barbeque

August’s Area 33 Club Night included a Barbeque and a Speaker from the fire service.

It was arranged with The Crown and a set price was given for a substantial volume of food for the barbeque. A record 36 people had arranged to attend for this special evening.

When the barbeque was coming to an end our Speaker from the fire service, Gary, was introduced. Gary is a fire fighter now based at Rayleigh fire station. He talked about certain aspects of his job including drink/drug driving, smoke detectors, road traffic accidents, fires and fire safety precautions.

A very successful evening, which was supported very well, and something I believe we will run again.

Many thanks to all the members who attended and made this a worthwhile event.

Thanks also to The Crown, Charlotte, Sam and Sarah who always look after us on our Club Nights.
