Attendance figures high

It was good to see so many members show up for the club’s most recent Sunday Lunch run, this time at The Black Boy in Weeley. Again, we were spoiled by decent sized portions, good service too.

We attended the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance base at Earles Colne so Kevin, our club Treasurer could present their Representative, Roger, with a cheque for £2,000. We were the first group to experience their brand new visitor centre and were able to inspect one of their helicopters close up and speak to two crew members. A fascinating visit.

The club’s Autumn Run was to The Splined Hub and Nene Jag Specialists. The Weekend was enjoyed by all who attended, see separate article.

Our guest speakers at November’s club night were from “Chelmsford Alloy Wheel Refurb”. Their services were explained and members offered an exclusive deal of £50 per wheel and £60 for Brake Caliper refurbishment. Should any member take advantage of this offer kindly feedback your experience to the club.

Area 33’s Christmas Dinner was well attended and no one seem bothered by the external sub zero temperatures.

We were entertained by Geoff & Tracey’s dance class instructors and a number of us strutted our stuff on the dance floor to Square and Line dances. Some of us got all romantic and enjoyed a couple of Smooches with our Partners!

The Committee met to discuss the club’s activities for 2023. Whilst continuing to support popular events, we have some new ideas to put to members, watch the Area 33 Facebook group,
